Shipping Advisory: Conditions May Cause Delays for Some Import Products

Retailers are advised that, due to a combination of circumstances beyond Diamond's control, some import products may undergo shipping delays in the near future.

Overseas products are received by Diamond at the port of Long Beach, CA, which is currently facing a union labor shortage, and is also reporting excessive congestion at the neighboring rail yard. These factors have further led to a shortage of shipping containers for manufacturers to use in Asia, as many are currently tied up on the Long Beach docks and have not been sent back to the Far East. Consequently, until these issues are resolved, there may be unexpected shipping delays for some of Diamond's import products.

“Though they rarely occur, situations like this are always frustrating for everyone involved,” said Diamond Vice President of Purchasing Bill Schanes. “However, we will do everything we can to minimize any delays and distribute our products as quickly as possible to our customers.”
