Day-Early Delivery: PREVIEWS Digital Release Dates

The implementation of Day-Early Delivery on January 11, 2011 will affect Diamond’s PREVIEWS Digital Release dates, when digital files and information related to each month’s PREVIEWS catalog will be available via the Retailer Services site, PREVIEWSworld.com, and Diamond’s other websites and services.

The PREVIEWS Digital Release date for an upcoming PREVIEWS catalog will now fall on the Friday two weeks before that catalog goes on sale. This cycle will begin with February’s PREVIEWS #269 – scheduled to go on sale on Wednesday, February 2. That catalog’s Digital Release date will thus be Friday, January 21. On that date, many Diamond sites, e-newsletters, and other communication services will be able to provide you with files and info related to the new catalog.

The PREVIEWS Digital Release update each month will include the following:

PREVIEWS FTP Service: The images, text files, complete PREVIEWS catalog PDF, and other files normally part of this service provided to subscribers via YouSendIt.com will now be available at this earlier date each month. Additionally, the Master Data File will now be included with the FTP service. For more information about the FTP service, click here.
Online Data Files: In addition to the Master Data File, on the PREVIEWS Digital Release date each month, the upcoming catalog’s Retailer Order Form files, Customer Order Form files, and the other files that are updated monthly in the PREVIEWS Product Copy and PREVIEWS Order Forms sections of the Data Files page will be posted.
Item Codes and Product Details: On the PREVIEWS Digital Release date, you will also be able to search Diamond’s database for items from the upcoming catalog on the Retailer Services site and access the Item Detail Pages for those items via their active Item Codes – providing you with solicit text, vendor and creator information, FOC/OIC dates, estimated ship dates, and more for the new products.
Diamond Websites: The Retailer Services site is not the only site that will be updated on the PREVIEWS Digital Release date. As noted on your Diamond 2011 calendar, on the PREVIEWS Digital Release date each month, PREVIEWSworld.com will likewise go live with new features covering products offered in the forthcoming catalog. TOYCHESTnew.com and kidscomics.com will begin spotlighting that catalog’s new products on the PREVIEWS Digital Release date as well.
